Inherited individuality, reimagined for the future.

Kimono reconstruction rooted in memory,
crafted for contemporary self-expression.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

The designer’s creative vision is deeply rooted in the legacy of her grandmother, whose kimono collection embodied a wide range of personalities

— from quiet and traditional to playful, bold, and modern.

Growing up surrounded by these garments,
she learned to see kimono not as relics of the past, but as living expressions of individuality.

Her grandmother’s love for vivid colors, craftsmanship, and tradition, paired with curiosity for new things, continues to shape the designer’s aesthetic sensibility.

This intergenerational influence naturally infuses her work with a balance of elegance and freedom.

Through fashion, she seeks to carry inherited individuality forward into the future.

Collection

This collection reimagines vintage kimono
— garments worn daily in Japan for over a thousand years
— as contemporary clothing for a new generation.

PHILOSOPHY

Kimono is not something that belongs to the past.

It is a form of individuality passed down through time.

Rather than treating kimono as formal garments reserved for special occasions, this work reconstructs them as clothing for natural, everyday self-expression.

Beyond material transformation, each piece weaves in memory, character, and a way of embracing one’s era.

Respect for the past.

A challenge toward the future.

And a sensibility rooted in the present.
